Emerald Event hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health, London, UK - 16th October 2017

Dr Dan Poulter MP on behalf of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health are pleased to invite the Emerald Consortium to an evening event to launch the research findings of the Emerald (Emerging mental health systems in low- and middle-income countries) Project.

This private event will be held from 5.30pm on Monday 16 October in the Committee Room 10, House of Commons, London.

At this event the Emerald team will launch its key findings on:

  • adequate, fair and sustainable resourcing for mental health services in low- and middle-income countries;
  • integrated provision of mental services;
  • improved coverage and goal attainment;
  • building capacity and skills at a local level to plan, implement, evaluate and sustain system improvements.

They will also present:

  • new educational and training materials;
  • cost models and performance indicators; 
  • a series of new papers evaluating capacity building activities in low- and middle-income countries, including service user and caregiver involvement.
